Climb Every Mountain......

Ian has now learned how to climb into the highchair. He knows if it is meal time and where his seat is. He sometimes does it for fun. He has become such an active little boy. A real good climber. He loves to climb on anything and everything. He is so strong too!!!

This morning I went to the gym and then Ian and I went to breakfast with my friend Denice and her son Carson. We were pregnant together and our kids are three weeks apart. We used to work together on Surgical at Mckay Dee. It was so fun to have a friend at work that was about the same time pregnancy wise. Anyway, we hadn't seen each other since her son's birthday in November, so we went out to catch up and let the babies play.

This afternoon, we went with our friends, Chris and Nannette (and all the kids) to Cabela's in Lehi. We wandered around and looked at cool elk, deer, mt lions, rams, and all kinds of wildlife. Then we walked in a tunnel of water and looked at really big fish, almost bigger than Ian!!! It was a lot of fun.

Afterward we went across the freeway and went to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. It was really cool. We found out about that this morning, curteosy of my cousin Bill. We were able to walk around and see sheep, baby sheep not even a week old, rams, lamas, turkeys, chickens, horses, cows, ducks, geese, and a pig. The kids were even able to go on pony rides. Ian was scared at first, but soon loved it and thought it was great.

We had lunch there also and were able to relax and enjoy our day off of work (Presidents Day).

Valentine Cupcake vs. Ian

Ian received a cupcake from Ben's parents for Valentine's Day. We gave it to him right before he took a bath. As you can tell, the cupcake was no match for Ian.

Mischief

I thought I would post some random older pictures of Ian. Climbing step ladders, pulling out pots and pans, climbing in the laundry basket, having fun, and the one in the crib is hilarious, Ian pulled the mobile right off the holder and was swinging it around and having fun with it. What a silly little boy.

Now he loves to climb onto the kitchen chairs and then onto the table. He loves to pull things off the table and with him being so tall, it makes it so easy for him. Ian is so curious about everything and loves to explore and learn new things everyday. He follows commands and when he knows he did something right he claps with us and has a huge grin on his face. He is learning to feed himself and loves it-he gets so happy and is so proud of himself. Such a CUTIE!!

Tubby Time!!!

Ian LOVES tubby time!!! He gets so excited to get in the tub at night and play with all his rubber duckies, hippos, and of course, Thomas, James and Molly from Thomas the Tank Engine. I thought these pictures were so cute. He was being a funny little man one day in the tub. Ben and I like to line the trains up on the edge of the tube and push them into the water. Ian thinks it is hilarious and he loves to do it too. He now makes the same noises we do when the trains fall off the edge. He is so funny and smart!!

He always watches what we do and then he wants to do it too. He is so strong too. He loves to
carry big heavy things and move things around.
He also likes to help put the dirty clothes in the laundry basket and take the clean ones out of the dryer. He especially likes going down the stairs on my back. He gets so excited when we go to the basement.

Ian is such a joy and so funny. He always is making us laugh, even when he is into mischief and being naughty. He usually knows when he is doing something wrong and watches us to see if we will be watching him. I love him so much. He is the best son any one could ask for!

Here Comes Santa Claus!!!

Christmas Eve morning Ben made breakfast for Ian and I and we spent the morning getting presents wrapped and doing our finishing touches on things. Around 1 we went to Ben's parents house for the family party. It was a Mexican theme. After lunch we had a program with the kids singing and dancing and the reading of the Christmas story from Luke, complete with a live nativity, courtesy of the grandkids, and singing Christmas hymns. After the program we exchanged presents and then starting with Ian, all the kids got a chance to hit the pinata. Then we had hot

fudge sundaes. It was a fun time. Sharon also made matching PJ's for all the grandkids!! Cute as can be!!

That night we went over to my parents house and had our traditional Danish Dumplings and soup. It is meat with potatoes, carrots, celery, beef broth, and yummy dumplings. We have always had this meal on Christmas eve. It's basically the only time we have it during the whole year, so I always look forward to it. After dinner we watched Christmas movies and tried to get Ian to go to sleep. He of course was wired and looking forward to seeing Santa!! We took him for a drive and he finally fell asleep. We took him back to my parents and he fell asleep and slept until morning. He did great!!
